We drove from Sheffield through Robin Hood & Shakespeare country to Peterborough where we bought our van. We were impressed with Sheffield – a beautiful sophisticated city (4th largest in England) – combining ancient history with the contemporary & modern. Returning the hire-car to Liverpool, we traveled south toward Wales, through quaint historic villages in our new home-on-wheels – German Hymer, L-hand drive – ready for traveling through Europe. We will leave UK via the ferry to arrive in Spain – looking forward to the warmer weather!

I am enjoying the glimpses you are giving of your travels, thank you.
Your new home looks great! How is it working out?
Isn’t this summer in England? We have had some really cold nights here since the floods, days still pretty glorious though. Looking forward to hearing about Spain. I have never been there but feel like it has some special connections for me. Will explain another time.
Looking forward to our next skype Glenda
travel well

Why What a waste. ?If your gran had been a career tehcear she would probably have been so busy with marking and reports that she’d have had less time to tehcear family. She has inspired generations of tehcears through you, so where is the waste in that?I believe whatever those in power think they are achieving in their limited lifespans, over generations, the strong in spirit win through. They might not live to see it either, but it is my belief in that principle that keeps me going anyway!
